"This was my first time staying at the Marriott Marquis. The location is very convenient to great restaurants and Broadway shows. It's in a very busy section of Times Square but it felt very safe. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. There was some wear and tear in the bathroom. Couple of things that would've been nice: bottles of water and more bath towels for 4 people in a room. My biggest complaint is when I asked if they could arrange a taxi for us to Newark Airport. The price I was quoted was well over $200. That was ridiculous. Our taxi arriving was $120. Ended up arranging an uber for $130."

"Bathrooms definitely need renovations. And the backed up water in the tub after every shower is appalling. Nevertheless, its clean, have a lounge/bar, and staff are great!"

"The location is great. Only 3 short blocks to the 50th St subway station of the A C E lines which can take you to JFK airport or downtown or Central Park. Also, Time Square is a short walk(2-3 blocks) away. They have a great luggage storage department which is a must if you want to explore before check-in or after check-out. The staff is friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff responded quickly. We stayed twice on our trip. The first room was great except for having a toilet issue. It seems that the toilets in the hotel have been retrofitted with a power flush system in the tanks. I found that if you hold down on the handle too long while flushing it can cause the toilet to malfunction and no longer flush. The maintenance guy responded and fixed it or reset it(whatever). This happened late right before bedtime which wasn’t pleasant. The second room we got was at the end of the floor, a corner unit. It had the same toilet system. So, we made sure to flush lightly on the handle to avoid any problems. The problem we had with this room was that there was no thermostat. The room got cold. So, we called the front desk and in minutes the maintenance guy delivered a portable heater which worked well. Shortly after this, the tv signal went out and we had no television to watch. Again, this all went down late night at bedtime. At this point we were wondering what else would go wrong. Things we enjoyed were the microwave oven, refrigerator and sink in the nook by the door."
