"Alberico's house is simply enchanting and so is the hamlet of Ponzanello. You really feel like you're stepping back in time (except you have access to all the modern amenities which is great)! The location is perfect if you have a car, about a hour drive to Cinque Terre, plenty of vineyards and other medieval villages to visit in the surroundings."

"A spacious property with loads of outdoor space (and pool). We were very comfortable here and could easily have stayed longer. The host, Massimo, is very friendly and most generous. We thought the village was charming and Castelnuovo is well worth a visit. "

"The villa was located in a very peaceful location we stayed as a family group of 8 and overall had a great stay although there were positives and negatives. Positives Lovely pool, kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and outdoor terrace. Negatives Not much in the local area without a long drive, not enough sun beds. The fourth bedroom is the lounge with no air con. Air con not working in main bedroom and the agent was unable to fix this so uncomfortable sleeping. We had a good holiday but would not return. "
