The manageress, Nicky, and her staff were welcoming, pleasant and friendly. Our room was clean, inviting and quiet; the bed was especially comfortable, and we slept well both nights. "We spent a pleasant night here with a very spacious room and comfortable bed, although the bathroom felt a touch old-fashioned. Our evening meals, in the bar, were OK, nothing special, although service was quite slow, and for some reason we couldn’t use a Greene King drink voucher despite it being a Greene King pub ! "Stayed for a weekend away and the room was lovely. Had a few drinks in the bar and the beer was lovely. Staff were friendly. Did the brewery tour, which I would highly recommend. Shame that when we turned up there was no space in the car park. But the next morning we were able to get a space. Would definitely stay again."
