Top Stripple Stones Hotel Reviews
Stunning uninterrupted moorland views over lake and Rough Tor
8/10 Good
"Beautiful surroundings. Great hosts"
Mennabroom
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely stay in an historic farmhouse. Great location for exploring both north and south Cornwall. The attention to detail was outstanding. Lovely breakfast with homemade bread, jam, yogurt and home produced honey. We even enjoyed extras such as Deborah's clotted cream shortbread and flapjacks. Ian provided us with recommendations for places to visit and local knowledge for the best parking spaces."
Jamaica Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Fantastic staff, great rooms but meals are not as big as they used to be"
2 Bedroom Accommodation in Two Acres Of Gardens on edge of village of Blisland
10/10 Excellent
"Due to car trouble we arrived a little bit late. This was no problem and Gerard welcomed us and showed us the cottage. Linda made some delicious scones and some delicous selfmade jams. The cottage is very cosy and clean. All the necessary is present. It is not very spacious, but enough room for our family (2 adults and 2 kids 10 years and 4 years). The garden is really big and outdoor toys are available in the storage room. Also a washing machine and dryer were available to use.Gerard and Linda live in the next door house and if we needed anything they were ready to assist us.Keep in mind, driving in Cornwall is a challenge, as the motorways are very narrow. We had a great stay at Torr House and recommend to stay here."
St Tudy Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Very friendly, helpful staff. The restaurant was great, lovely atmosphere and great food. They also serve an excellent breakfast. A great place to stay"
2 bedroom accommodation in Advent
8/10 Good
"A lovely traditional property. Bedrooms quite small but comfortable room around the beds. Kitchenette well equipped and open plan living area with table and chairs and decent chairs for relaxing. Really enjoyed our time in this area of Cornwall as so peaceful at the end of the season."
Cottage sleeping 3 with views of lake
10/10 Excellent
"The cottage was simply furnished but adequate, it was clean and the beds were very comfortable.Matt and Becky went out of their way to help us, we enjoyed every minute of it. The peace and tranquility of the area was wonderful with just the sounds of birds and sheep!"
2 bedroom accommodation in Bodmin
10/10 Excellent
"A really lovely, peaceful and comfortable cottage that was an ideal base for walking or cycling the Camel Trail and exploring the nearby Cornish countryside. We really enjoyed our short break in the cottage and would certainly book again if we come back to Cornwall. The cottage was very clean and cosy with a very well equipped kitchen area and a large comfy couch to relax on in the evenings . The WiFi was adeqaute for our needs and there is a TV with DVD player available but we did not use them. The private garden was a home to many garden birds, Song Thrush, Blackbirds, Robins etc and a family of rabbits, we also heard Tawny Owls in the adjoining woods. There was plenty of information about the house and local area and Richard was very helpful and friendly.Bulls Cottage is situated at the end of a long and winding drive accessed via a wooden gate that a couple of other houses use so be prepared to the possibility that you may meet another vehicle on the drive coming in the opposite direction. It is also advisable to make sure you bring provisions milk, bread, butter etc as the nearest shop is possibly in Bodmin and there is no welcome pack provided, although a really nice bottle of wine was a welcome surprise. The cottage is well placed for visiting some of Cornwalls well known attractions. If you enjoy homes and gardens we would really recommend a visit to Lanhydrock House and The Lost Gardens of Heligan and also a visit up to the standing stones near the tiny hamlet of Minions."
