"Be aware that the hotel reception close down at 19:00 and if you haven’t checked-in by then you have to find another place to stay. I travel a lot but rarely see this rigid routine. Normally there is an option to collect your key in a coded box or something after the reception is closed. But okay, fair enough, it’s my mistake to not follow these rules. But no card payment in 2025?! That’s a big drawback which easily can be fixed. You leave it to your guests to spend 30 minutes to find an ATM...

"I booked a room just for 1 night over 2 months in advance. The booking was confirmed by expedia. I booked the room for May 20, 2026. That morning I flew from Antalya, Turkey to Frankfurt, Germany. I had a train ticket from Frankfurt to Wroclaw, Poland for the following day. I carry a laptop with me. I do not have a smart phone.
