Upon check-in, I was surprised to find additional charges, including nightly parking fees despite ample parking space available onsite, as well as a R250 per person damages deposit, which I declined to pay, leading them to take my driver's license as collateral. We were directed to another location in Strand that did not have a garden/swimming pool or any view. It looked like a half way completed flat with small living quarters. When we said we are unhappy, or and my family was asked to wait while an alternative arrangement was made. After 30minutes we've decided to seek other accommodation and requested our money back.
