"This was such a nice accommodation, I checked in relatively late and left early in the morning, but check in was simple and the staff were very nice. The room was clean, shoes come off at the front door and they have slippers you can borrow to walk towards your room. It wound have been nice to stay longer, they offer horseback riding and it’s very scenic where this accommodation is located. The food smelt amazing, but we didn’t put ourselves down for any meals because of the times when we arrived and left. I believe you can contact the property to put you down for a meal reservation so they can cook enough. Parking was easy."

"Some of the walkways were covered in ice which made it difficult to navigate the property. The gym equipment was older and some of it was broken."

"This is a good choice if you need a mid point to take a break on your way south. It’s very basic so don’t expect much, but the twin beds and pillows are very comfortable. We chose it hoping it’s far enough from the city lights to see the aurora, but no luck with all the clouds in the way. It’s still a decent place, no wake up call offered but I was able to go out of both exits on the upper floor regularly to check for aurora. I’d stay here again if too tired to drive."

"The staff were lovely and very nice!! Location was wonderful! We had a great stay! Only side note, we thought the entry to bubble and plastic of bubble could have been cleaner. A good wipe to the plastic would do wonders. Wouldn’t take much to have them thoroughly polished up! Overall, we had a magical stay!!"

"Great location in the countryside to ideally see the northern lights. Plenty of heaters to keep warm. Entry and bathroom are relatively basic but certainly serviceable. Also has mini fridge."

"A Real Icelandic Experience! Just reopened last year with very cozy rooms in a beautiful location on a working farm with horses, sheep and other livestock. You can take a little stroll up the hill to be greeted by the horses or veer towards the beautiful river gorge. The hotel is privately owned in 3rd generation and gives you an authentic Icelandic experience. Best place we stayed in Iceland . We would love to visit again."

"The main issue was the shower [room 113] - it was a tiny cubicle and should be expanded to make a slightly larger walk in shower. Any larger person would have difficulty being comfortable in there [and I am not that large] - also, there was nowhere to put your soap and shampoo. Otherwise things were good, helpful staff, decent breakfast and so on."
