"The room was large and the bed was comfortable. Mold in the corners of the shower was off-putting. Staff was ok, not overly friendly or engaging"

"For the price it was a decent enough hotel to sleep for the night. Definitely needed some bathroom upgrades, and the free continental breakfast is very limited. Again, not a bad place to stay for the price for one night."

"Our family has been using American Inn in Branford, CT as a rest stop to visit my wife's mother in New Hampshire. It is a short trip (under 2 hours) to get a head start out of the New York metro area after evening rush hour. All rooms are accessed from the outside right in front of your parking space. They have two queen beds and rooms are always clean... and the price is right 😉 It is perfect for our trip!"

"Hotel that allows smoking says it all"

"Just Fabulous!!! We had a water view with a balcony. Room had a cozy fireplace and very large bathroom!!"

"I saw someone else write a review that said it was weird the curtains didn't go all the way down in the window area and they were right, which was a bit odd... Also the doors to the rooms are HEAVY! You can hear them slamming in the night while trying to sleep and it's no one's fault, they just automatically slam due to their weight. I wouldn't allow my senior father to handle the door at all as I didn't trust they wouldn't knock him over. On one of our two mornings, the breakfast ladies...

"More like a bed and buffet! Ask Ray about the imported from Naples pastries! I stayed in comfy room 2 which has its own private entry/exit n the side. Check out hole in the wall Friends & Co for amazing lobster roll and fries and Allegre for Italian 4-course prix-fixe. Hammonasset Beach State Park nearby was a nice oasis in the fall. Would visit here again with the lady."

"We loved how clean, minimal and easy everything was. Everyone was so friendly, my dog loved it as well! Park was easily accessible."

"Overall the hotel room was nice and clean, my issue was with the bathroom. There were a few gnats (or drain flies) in the bathroom which is a bad sign of scum buildup. The toilet clogged up a few times. Thankfully it didn’t overflow, just needed a few extra flushes. The toilet seat and lid were loose from the toilet itself. A good place to stay if you just need a bed at the end of the day. The diner across the street is a town staple, but it’s closed on Mondays and a crosswalk would be...

"A lovely stay at a classic New England B & B. Perfect location for a visit to Madison."

"Great"

"We enjoyed our stay at the New Haven Hotel. The staff was helpful, friendly and easy to talk to. The room and property were very clean. Hotel was situated in a very good location in New Haven."

"This hotel is being repainted all the way around. It is covered in plastic and there are big machines during the day that the painters use. Luckily we were made aware of this situation by the hotel before we got there, we just didn’t realize how big of a project it was. This shouldn’t deter anyone from saying there as it did not interrupt out experience. Unfortunately the issue we did run into was parking at night. There were two vehicles that were towing boats that took up multiple spots and a...
