"Lovely weekend at this wonderful hotel. All staff very friendly, polite and helpful in every way. I had a bit of a wobble when I found out I couldn't use the restaurant as it was fully booked that night, but the wobble was my fault for not listening to the staff properly when they explained the bar as an alternative, so a thousand apologies for that. The bar is amazing with lots of quirky items and books, loads of historical pictures, items and woodwork which gives the whole bar and hotel a lot...

The Gem of the Peninsula.
"Lovely weekend at this wonderful hotel. All staff very friendly, polite and helpful in every way. I had a bit of a wobble when I found out I couldn't use the restaurant as it was fully booked that night, but the wobble was my fault for not listening to the staff properly when they explained the bar as an alternative, so a thousand apologies for that. The bar is amazing with lots of quirky items and books, loads of historical pictures, items and woodwork which gives the whole bar and hotel a lot of character. And they have Caledonia Best. Food amazing. The staff and owner Paul, and his lovely wife made this a fantastic weekend. Thank you all of you, I'd love to come back. Thoroughly recommend this gem of a hotel. "
