"Our stay was fantastic! We loved our room at Hotel Altes Kloster. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The converted 750 year old monastery was beautiful, cozy, quiet and within walking distance of restaurants and sights. It is an interesting town filled with historic sights and Incredible food. Gasthaus Haydnstuberl Inh.Stefan Weber was a wonderful restaurant. The Käsepätzle and Weiner Schnitzel vom Schwerin was amazing! We had the most delicious apple pie I have ever had at Mein Gebäck - Leyla Yilmaz. The poppy seed roll and donuts were also outstanding. Over all this was one of the most enjoyable stops on our trip. Thank you!"

"Beginning communication was not available, Sunday. Another tenant helped me to get a phone number and receive the number and code. The stay itself worked out well, had no problems. "

"This property sits right off of a main road. It appears safe and sound, however can become very loud with drunken persons after midnight. These can be heard in the rooms that face the road. The beds we had were a bit more than slats of cardboard with linens. They were flat and old, causing two of us to wake with fierce back pain. The addition of a well staffed small bowling alley in the lowest level added an amazing touch to our hotel stay. Also, it should be mentioned, the breakfast was one of the better ones we ate in our 9-day tour to Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, and Germany, by car. Also- staff was very nice, despite lower English comprehension! "

"Was wonderful. Was had to wait awhile to check in, but there was self-service wine and we sat outside in the garden on the beautiful sunny afternoon. The rooms were large and lovely, very comfy beds, large bathroom, the heaters were plenty warm. We did a tour of the winery production and had a heuriger dinner that evening. Situated in a beautiful paet of the Weinvertel, and there are ample opportunities to hike and ride bike. Lots of other wineries nearby as well."
