There is no couch/living room instead it is a common kitchen area so we used a bench from bedroom and a camp chair that we had on hand so we could all sit at the kitchen table. However, the kids ran around from upstairs, even though it was quite late at night and we were trying to sleep in the lower level of the house. One of my relatives is handicapped and had difficulty going up the stairs because there was only one handrail for her to use, and she can only use one side of her body. Having handrails on both sides would be safest for anyone with mobility...
