"Our stay was a weekend getaway for our 6th anniversary. The cabin was so cozy! It had everything we needed! We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. We cooked in the indoor and outdoor kitchen. We used the grill AND pizza oven! The are several ponds on the property full of frogs and fish. There was food available to feed to fish. There were so many Harry Potter touches in the cabinet. The keys in the ceiling were perfect! The large quilt was super comfy. 10/10 recommend!"

"This property is close enough to civilization yet far enough away to unplug, unwind, and relax. The most outstanding feature of the property by far is the porch. Rain or Shine you will spend the majority of your time on the porch. During the day, you relax on the porch, reading, catching up on tv, or just listening to nature. "We loved our spring break stay at this beautiful property. We had plenty of room to spread out with 2 couples and 5 children, ages 6-9. Our kids adored the game room, and we all loved utilizing the fire pit and hot tub in the evenings. We would love to come back in the summer to get to experience all the lake has to offer!"

"My family and I have stayed 3 times at the lake house over the past 2 years. The home is consistently clean. The host is quick to respond and very accommodating! One of our favorite things about The Hickory Hideaway is the open floor plan, wonderful lake view, and well stocked kitchen. We plan to return!"

"This was our first Vrbo so we were nervous, but the venue was beautiful and clean and everything we needed. We were attending a wedding nearby so wanted something convenient but could house us. It did not disappoint. We took several walks to the creek and enjoyed being able to spend time together but also have our separate spaces. Our phones didn’t have service there but the WiFi was excellent and the owner responded in a reasonable time with a couple questions we had. "

"Everyone was very satisfied with the layout of the house we stayed in. We had two boats and the double carport worked out just fine keeping our boats out of the weather. Just a short drive to the lake and we had our boats on the water. We would recommend this house to anyone needing to stay in the Scottsboro area . If available next year we will be staying there again ! Two things would help new guests coming in would be a picture of the house and a phone number listed for the property manager ."

"The house was beautifully decorated, extremely clean and very comfortable. Linda, our host, was amazing! She was quick to respond the two times I had questions and added special touches to our stay. Sitting outside in the evening, right next to the lake was so peaceful and relaxing. Downtown Winchester is just up the street. I highly recommend this property and hope to go back."

"Communication w/mgnt company reps was top notch! Accomodations was great! Tims Ford Lake water is so clean compared to where we are from (Tenn. River area). We especially liked the home theater in evenings...picture and sound was awesome! Foosball, ping pong, shuffleboard games were in great shape and fun. The view was awesome! We wanted a place we could all be together (ha, we travel in a herd) and wanted a place where we would not disturb anyone as we love our music, competitive games (ha). This place was PERFECT! "We had a great stay at the house for graduation. It was close to all the campus parties. Easy walk to Stricklands for breakfast in the morning. We loved the screened in porch it protected us from the cicada invasion 😄. Not sure when we will be back to Sewanee since our son has graduated but would stay here again. As noted by the owners we were able to stream Netflix, Hulu on the tv but no live tv or YouTube TV so if this is important to you this may not be the house for you. They had an Amazon...
