"Lovely accommodation food really good and great choice of breakfast. The only fault we had is with parking, after having driven 7 hours we found nowhere to park. We had to park on pavement across road, don't rely on parking being available. I think the great location and setting meant other non residents used the hotel parking."

"It's the almost perfect hotel for us. Gentle stroll into the town. Small, family run, plain tasteful decor, high quality linen. It almost seems churlish to make any criticism. It's a while since we have been but it's good to see everything is as we remembered it . Above all there are no pets "

"Lovely hotel in the centre of town with free parking in the local town centre car park. Great junior suite. Food in Olive restaurant was tasty and plentiful. Breakfast in the cafe was nicely set out and had more options than was expected for continental breakfast. Would definitely stay there again."

"Shabby chic hotel, which kind of fits into the environment. This was the second time we stayed here as it’s a perfect overnight stop for us. Yes it needs updating, bathroom decor late 70s, early 80s but all in all, good value for money. Hotel is in a great location for walking, cycling and hiking."

"I LOVED House Mayfa! After making the cottage my home for 65 nights I was very sad to leave. It is on a quiet road that dead ends at an old dairy farm. Neighbors are quiet and respectful. The home is quaint and extremely comfortable. The hosts have incorporated lots of local and tasteful antiques and accessories. The house has a well stocked kitchen and can accommodate entertaining friends with the provision of nice silver and china. Items for children are available if desired. The home is well situated and one can easily access shopping, tourist location, and other places of interest. Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and Gerardmer are easy drives within 2 or 3 hours. As a solo female traveler I felt extremely safe at House Mayfa. The hosts were accessible at a moments notice to address any issues or provide advice."
