It was a Bed and Breakfast and it had a sit down and order breakfast with excellent food.
The room was a suite with a historical look and feel. I would go again.
We had a lovely stay at this historic property. Comfortable king room, helpful host, nice breakfast options. It's just a block from all the wonderful shops and restaurants in Staunton, which punches above its weight for dining. Would definitely return next time we're heading that way.
The house and specifically the room was beautiful. The breakfast staff was caring and kind. One thing I would say is the change the love seat to a sofa in room 35. Would be much more comfortable.
Great location. Free onsite parking. Owner was super helpful and breakfast was really good with fresh fruit, homemade breads, quiche, waffle and coffee. The room was huge but somewhat loud with the air purifier. The tv is ancient and the shower wasn’t great. The bed was very comfortable. It is walking distance to the Royal Shakespeare theater and WoodrowWilson’s library. Pros definitely trump the negatives. I would stay again. Be prepared to walk some stairs.
Frederick House is a great place to stay when visiting Staunton. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The accommodations and amenities are first-rate, and the B & B is centrally located to the city’s major points of interest and restaurants. My breakfast choice was exceptional—delicious fresh fruit , apple raisin quiche, and pumpkin/raisin sweet bread. The coffee was full-bodied and flavorful. Free parking is conveniently located on site. I highly recommend staying at the Frederick House.
Enjoy the ease of parking, the location is great for exploring the historic area. Registration process quick. Breakfast delicious and the rooms are unique and comfortable.

The baseboard heat in the room was not working, making for a chilly night. The management provided a space heater and that kept the room comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent! And the location is perfect for exploring Staunton. There are rather staff were all very attentive.
There are rather a lot of steps to climb to get from the parking area to the rooms. And the bed, while quite comfortable, was very high making getting in and out challenging for my 88 year old wife.
Free parking and a pleasant staff at this charming old town. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The Main Street was closed to traffic and people could dine outside in front of their favorite
The property sits you right in the middle of downtown. There is a nightlife presence if you prefer but not a rowdy one if you're an early turn in. Many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Staff was more that happy to assist with questions or any issues we encountered. Room was quaint and cozy with lots of room to spread out. Design kept with the historic aspect as much as possible. Quilts on the beds, wooden floors. Etc. Not a modern living situation if thats what you're looking for. Cozy and homey. Only big issue we had was parking. It was horrible to park during the day. At night not so bad. But it definitely is an issue and if you drive a larger vehicle, well, good luck. We have a larger truck and had quite the issue.
