"The house itself was brilliant. You can feel the "oldness" in the air but i was surprised when i found out there was only the one staff member for the whole house. That's three floors with eleven rooms being attended to by one person and she was a pack packer who had been in the role for four weeks and is also receptionist and cleaner. But as i said, the house was lovely as was the area"

"this room worked pretty well for me. the building is a huge building, and appears to be an old (1950s?) boarding house - if you have any interest in architecture you will like its characteristics. the room did not have its own en-suite, but the shared toilets and showers were ok. every other room started at double the cost! the manager was Ron, and he was helpful."

"Pretty complete in terms of facilities and amenities. The fireplace is a great touch, bathroom was beautiful and even board/card games are in supply! We made use of the tennis courts too.
