Be prepared if you have a long drive like I did - because there were no spaces when I got there, I bought myself an extra couple of hours (and a bathroom break) by shopping at the local Morrisons. I was told by the staff of free parking on the weekend but everywhere I went to where they told me to was not free. Eventually I had to park at the railways station which brought me 24 hours parking. "Great pub super location but the restaurant part needs looking at had English breakfast twice and it started at 8am we sat down at 8.05 and the bacon, sausage, hash brown were rock hard and a lot of people were asking for yogurt but were told sorry but delivery was late (3 days late) Would we go again. "What a brilliant pub/hotel! Will stay again. Such a lovely hotel with views by the river. Room was spacious, lots of interesting pictures, wonderful food and very polite, helpful staff. Convenient parking. Loved the spiral staircase with over hanging wisteria!"
