"We had an enjoyable l one night stay at Gasthaus zum Bauernhof. The check in process was very unique in that your key is awaiting you but we did not see anyone who worked there until later. The beds were very comfortable, the room was spacious and we appreciated the adjoining rooms our family shared. "Owners are a very nice, friendly couple. Remote location from Luzern. No breakfast but were offered free coffee or tea. Ten francs to use grill. Shared bath (not private as advertised). Room size OK for two but "No picnic in room!" We did not see any "free toiletries" and initially were provided only one bath towel to use for two people."

"This was a lovely hotel. Great location (literally steps away from public transit and grocery stores) with a nice garden out front. The room was nicely furnished and had a handy microwave and fridge. The hotel also had a laundry room. The only thing stopping this hotel from getting a 4 star was the shower. The shower could not maintain a constant temperature and would fluctuate constantly from freezing cold to scorching hot without touching the controls. "
