Hotel breakfast is 13 euros per person, substantial buffet breakfast well worth the money. Just an 8 minute walk into the city with lots of beautiful restaurants. Would recommend Hotel Du Pont Vieux to anyone visiting Carcassonne and would definitely stay again if returning."

Car parking is free on street if you park in the public carpark by the river which is only a 80-100m walk. Hotel itself is lovely, a bath in the room, open walk through shower and a view of the Citadel and bridge on an evening to take many pictures from. We didn't eat at the hotel, a short 2-3 min walk gets you to all a selection of restaurants, cafe's and boulangerie's over the river. Great queen bed, pillows and shower and the room was immaculate."
