Renovated 3 bed/3 bath contemporary condo, with incredible views from every window. Unit-wide terrace overlooking peaceful and private Cowpet Bay, St. John and Great St. James.

Take in the spectacular views from your 1500 square foot three bedroom, three bath, non-smoking condo overlooking beautiful Cowpet Bay. The condo has everything you need for a relaxing, fun getaway. The living area has an extra large sectional sofa, a 40-inch TV, and a DVD player/stereo with iPod player and complimentary wireless internet service. It has an extra large covered terrace with outdoor dining/lounging space that comfortable seats six. Inside, you have three oversized king bedrooms with hotel linens, each with their own private full bath and towels. All have AC, individual ceiling fans, large TVs with DVD players and closets with hanging space. Two suites have open ocean views and access to the outdoor terrace. The kitchen features all expected appliances (refrigerator, oven/cooktop, dishwasher, microwave), plus utensils, and additional dining space for six.

It only takes 30 seconds to walk to the beautiful palm tree lined beach where there are complimentary beach and lounge chairs. Here you can bask in the sun or lay in the shade of a palm or Seagrape tree. The beach has a large protected swimming area and an area where you can snorkel. Next to the beach is a large beautifully landscaped pool with hot tub. There is also a great bar and restaurant, Caribbean Fish Market, serving dinner and drinks.

In the buzzing nearby town of Red Hook, you can take a ferry to St. John and the British Virgin Islands (passport required). The town has a great mix of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, a fully stocked grocery/liquor/wine store, gift and specialty boutiques, plus a large marina for all your fishing/charter needs. All of this within a mile of the condo.

We love Cowpet Bay, beautiful beach!

We stayed with our family and in-laws, plenty of space for everyone to have their own space. We liked that each bedroom had its own bathroom.

Great location and amenities!

Great property, pool and beach steps away. Renting the owners vehicle was very convenient! Just like most places in St. Thomas, quite a few stairs are around the property.

Wonderful location ! Older property lacking some upkeep. Some of the furniture in shabby shape and supplies for upkeep lacking. However Local management very responsive and general property amenities wonderful!.

New Year's getaway

I stayed with my fiancé and three teen daughters. We loved the space and comfort of the condo. Beautiful water views, easy drive to grocery store and convenience of Sangrias, Caribbean Fish Market and pool bar. No problem getting beach front loungers and great snorkeling on property. Red Hook and ferry to St John less than 10 minutes away. great location!

Great location and plenty of space.

We arrived to St Thomas after stressful travel day. This unit was easy to locate and access. It was very clean and we loved having such a large unit. The property is very pretty with a great beach which we enjoyed mostly after a long day of exploring the island. We did not eat at either restaurant but found other options within a short drive to Red Hook. We also stayed in and cooked a few times. Plenty of beach/pool towels available

What a gem!

Exceptional stay. Everyone saw my photos and I’ve never had so many people ask “where are your staying? That’s beautiful!” Place was exactly as described. Slept soundly. View is lovely. Beach and pool are exceptional. Restaurants, beach bar etc all right there. We never left the property because we didn’t have to nor did we want to. John was great to communicate with. Will absolutely stay here again.

Virgin Islands Adventure!

Our stay at Cowpet Bay West had a really nice view and we found the rental great for 2 couples and a young teen. We have been to the island several times and usually stay in the east end near Redhook so that we have access to the food and shops, nice beaches and the Ferry/water taxis. Getting around the island you either cab it or get a vehicle but remember if you drive you are on the opposite side of the road from the USA and the normal side of the car. We rented the Durango which was helpful as we typically get provisions like food, drinks and any other household items we may have forgotten at Cost.u.less (less than 10 mins away) which is more or less equivalent to island Costco. Walking down to the pool/beach area at Cowpet bay isn't too bad and you are there in a couple of minutes with plenty spots for sun or shade and you have 3 options for food and drinks:1. Beach bar by the pool for drinks. 2. Caribbean Fish Market, which we loved. A little more expensive dining but amazing food and drinks. 3. Sangria's Beachside Bistro. You can get drinks, have some breakfast, lunch/dinner and then pizza's from 6-8pm. The walk back to the rental is a little steep and you may get a bit winded if you had some adult beverages or are out of shape but it was doable for us and we are of average fitness levels. Overall the accommodations were nice and clean and the owner had great communication and the property manager was responsive and we would rent there again.

Comfortable, but …

Beds were very comfortable ,tiled floors nice, plenty of decent linens….but the entire condo needs a renovation. Furniture was very “used” and a broken chair was left at dining table.

Enjoyed our time but the property needs a little TLC

Property was overall very nice but the middle bathroom of the unit had some challenges. First of all the door does not close so you are unable to have privacy. Also the shower head is broken and would just break off without warning. I would say get those things repaired and the property will be excellent. I would come and stay again.

Perfect End of Summer Getaway!!

We had a wonderful 5 days in St.Thomas. We were the first family to stay in the newly renovated Condo, it was amazing!! The owners did an outstanding job of making you feel like you are in a 5 star resort, with all the amenities of being "at home"!! The beds and linens were so wonderful, we came home and purchased some for ourselves!! The location is perfect and the view from the condo is breathtaking!! Convenient to Redhook and to the Ferry. TheWhite sand beach is just steps away, as is two Restaurants, pool and hot tub. The owner, John, made our stay memorable with his recommendations, knowledge of the area, and extraordinary hospitality. We would absolutely recommend this Condo for too many wonderful reasons to list!! Will definitely be back!!

Family vacation fun!

Loved our condo! The description was very accurate. Take note when they tell you that there are a lot of stairs to the beach but we didn't mind the exercise at all! We loved having a bathroom with each bedroom. The beds were very comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed many great cards games around the dining table in the evenings. In a few minutes, we could walk to the beach, the beach bar for a burger or the Fish Market Restaurant for an excellent dinner. The beach is perfect if you have young children. It's a protected cove and very calm. Our 4 yr old and 6 yr old Grands loved it! We saw a sea turtle two different days while snorkeling there. It's a quick drive to the ferry, marina, the grocery store, and to town. We definitely would recommend this condo to our friends looking for a great place for a family vacation.

The property had quite a bit of wear and tear. The lights and fans in two rooms did not work properly. As a matter of fact 2 overhead lights would turn on and off in the middle of the night. The washing machine did not work properly. Thankfully we had family in other units. We brought our clothes to them. Also, something was dropping onto the top of the stove. It looked like cornmeal. This had us concerned with bugs or rodents. I kept wiping it up but it would reappear. We never used the stove or the microwave. This condo could definitely use some extra care.

Terrible!

The condo was very spacious, with great views and the beds were very comfortable. Sadly, the condo is under terrible management. It’s awfully outdated, the chairs, the sofa wore out and super uncomfortable. Poorly renovated, like there are no baseboards and instead you just see paint. The kitchen was disgusting. I sent them pictures of bugs in one drawer, cobwebs on another. I started cleaning and wiped dead bugs from the backsplash and even above the stove. A roach came crawling under the oven and even caught it on video. I also sent them pictures of the gross washer before and after I cleaned it. Which btw it makes a horribly noise with as little of 2 items in it. The floors hadn’t been mopped. The light in the bathroom didn’t work, but it was repaired the next day. John apologized for the cleaning I had to do and reimbursed us the cleaning fee. But sadly that doesn’t change the terrible experience we had in this condo.

Definitely Recommend!!

This place is awesome! It has to be one of the best views in all of Cowpet Bay West. Every morning you can look over the beach and bay to a beautiful sunrise. The check in and check out process was very easy. John always has a quick response to all inquiries before and during the stay. The unit is well stocked and we did do a lot of cooking. The unit was perfect for the six of us. The beds were comfortable and roomy and we made use of the washer and dryer a lot! We would highly recommend to rent the SUV! It made our trip so much better being able to get around the island to explore all the different bays around St Thomas. The town of Red Hook was a 7 minute drive. They have a great little store called Moe's which is just like a Trader Joes! Very clean and modern. Cowpet Bay West has a great little place for casual dinning and drinks right on the beach and also a little higher scale restaurant that is very popular in St Thomas in general. Both are a minute walk from this unit! The main beach is directly in front of the unit and maybe a minute walk! There we snorkeled almost daily and saw all kind of fish in the sea grass and coral! This unit has a brand new gas grill and I am pretty sure I was the first one to grill on it! Thank you John for helping make our vacation great! We will definitely be back and use this place again!

Beautiful location , clean home , good amenities , decently stocked kitchen We stayed as a group of 7 [5 adults and 2 kids] , the home was sufficient for our needs . We were in there from Dec 31-Jan 6. Everything was clean . Lot of bath towels and washer and dryer in the unit helped with the constant trips to beach and pool The owner John was very responsive with the questions and concerns . He was kind enough to extend our check out as the flight was only in the evening . Couple things which was little inconvenient, but we managed around it , which is why giving a 4* rating - The entry is not keyless even though the email from VRBO mentioned that . The keyless one doesn’t work. Instead there is an actual key kept inside a number locked lock which we need to open. Its tied to the metal grill next to the main door. We reached around late evening to the place and we struggled for some 20 minutes trying to open the door. Thankfully there was a security at the gate who reached out to his supervisor and then came to help and pointed out the separate lock . Got us a little weary as it was dark and we had a long flight from mainland . Hopefully if its mentioned in the VRBO for entry , it saves the trouble. Also it would be nice to have a local phone number to reach coz internet was not great unless connected to wifi . I reached out to owner later and he provided me with the local number. - The pool passes didn’t work and we reached out to care taker and she changed it for us on the last day . We were still able to use the pool as folks let us in . I am assuming it wont be an issue for new comers as its new pass - One of the Ocean facing bedroom has no door to the restroom/ closet and also no door in the toilet /bathroom. This rendered that whole area unusable. Thankfully kids used the bedroom and they used the other 2 bathroom for their needs. A door would have been nice to have for privacy and saved up on the bathroom waiting time as we came from pool/beach together - The bedroom lights are remote controlled but they would suddenly turn on deep into night . We would manually switch them off . It was quirky as it happened almost every night . Must have to do with the settings.
