DESCRIPTION: Aria is a beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bath home with a private pool. This tropical hideaway is an environmentally sensitive home that was designed and built to be very much in harmony with its peaceful, natural surroundings.

You park on the lower level and walk up the short walkway to the main entrance of the home. The main level includes your living, dining and kitchen areas plus one master bedroom and bathroom. Aria's windows and sliding glass doors are fully screened so you will enjoy the ever present trade winds that help keep the interior of this beautiful villa quite comfortable. The second master bedroom and pool are located on the lower level and are accessed via a spiral staircase. The pool level bedroom includes a private bath with tiled shower and the washer/dryer is also located off this bedroom. Both levels of this home enjoy the picturesque views looking out over Coral Bay and beyond.

If you are looking for a charming home with gorgeous views, privacy, and only a short drive to the North Shore National Park beaches of Maho and Francis Bay, look no further, as Aria is the home for you.

LOCATION: Aria was skillfully carved out of the tropical forest on Ajax Mountain (Coral Bay - Northern Hillside). This very private and very romantic home is part of a 4-villa gated neighborhood. To the east and south are beautiful sweeping views of turquoise seas, blazing sunrises, Bordeaux Mountain, Coral Bay, and the British Virgin Islands. On the other 2 sides of this villa the natural, tropical environment was carefully preserved, thus giving Aria excellent privacy and the essence of a quiet, cozy mountain hideaway.

The warm waters and white sands of the National Park beaches at Maho Bay and Francis Bay are a 4-5minute drive. Cruz Bay is a 15- 18 minute drive and the restaurants and bars of the unique town of Coral Bay are a 5 -10 minute drive.

LIVING & DINING: The living room at Aria is quite charming and includes a white, wicker couch and two chairs, perfect for relaxing in after a day of island exploring. The living room includes a flat screen cable TV and internet. You are sure to enjoy the breathtaking views that look out over Coral Bay and beyond.

There are two choices for your dining pleasure, an interior table which seats 4-6 and an outside table which seats 4.

KITCHEN: White tiled floors, white walls and white counter tops contrast nicely with the beautiful custom built teak mahogany cabinets in the kitchen. The crisp, clean kitchen includes a 4 burner stove/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, double ceramic sink, microwave, toaster, drip coffee maker, blender, gas grill and telephone. A washer/dryer is off the lower bedroom.

BEDROOMS: The two air-conditioned master bedrooms are located on different levels of the home to insure maximum privacy. Each bedroom has a king bed and private attached bath with tiled shower. The lower bedroom is accessed by exterior stairs. Screened sliding glass doors on both bedrooms offer lovely views and both bedrooms open to a deck.

Mountainside solitude

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aria. The view here was exceptional looking out over Coral Bay. Wildlife here was also fun - lots of Pearl-eyed thrashers (birds), lizards and grasshoppers! We liked the easy access to the north end beaches, (closest is Maho Bay, approx 8-10min). It was a bit of a hike to Cruz Bay (approx 30min) where many of the restaurants are located but we still enjoyed many evenings there. A few very good restaurants in Coral Bay too. We also prepared many meals at the house, kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, pantry items, etc. Overall the house worked very well for us. It needs some updating (in some ways is a little outdated) but it was clean and beautiful in SO many ways, including the pool which was a bonus! Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Good and bad.

We have stayed in this house twice, once in 2015 and once in 2016, both for 7 days. On the good side, it's a very quiet location with a killer view of Coral Bay. The pool is nice as well. The kitchen is barely adequately equipped. On the bad side, the furniture leaves a lot to be desired. Trying to find a comfortable way to sit in the living room is a challenge as there are no sofas or easy chairs, just a few upholstered dining room chairs and a day bed, for which we could find no use at all. We ended up dragging the patio furniture inside! Also, the master bed room has no ( as in zero) clothes bureaus or chests, so we had to keep a lot of our clothes in our suitcases. Finally, the downstairs bedroom is perfectly usable for anything other than sleeping. There's some kind of noisy pump next to it which seems to come on at all hours of the day and night. This belongs in an outbuilding. The very basic nature of the furnishings however are not reflected in the price, which is on a par with much more well equipped and comfortable houses very close by. Folks, invest a few bucks in living room furniture.

Aria is NOT safe, Inaccurate, & Overpriced for a View Alone.

For the past 5 years, twice a year, I’ve visited Saint John. I have never felt unsafe till our stay at Aria. Many of the stated amenities were NOT accurate. Not enough space to list all so beware when booking here! Pros: Central location & view Cons: 1. False description stating sleeps 5. Only beds for 4. Was charged extra for our 5th guest with no where for them to sleep. Had to find/rent an air mattress & put in living room. 1st night daughter woke screaming from finding a 3” scorpion on her bed! 2. Stated Aria's pool has no chemicals but it’s highly chlorinated burnt our noses/eyes. 3. Stated having AC in both bedrooms. Only upstairs worked. Downstairs bedroom is by pool so those guests had to choose between breathing chlorinated air all night or close windows for AC unit to only get to 86 at night. Messaged host, no response. 4. Day 2 upstairs wall behind bed & pillows covered by trail of ants. Removed sheets to wash & found scorpion under pillow! 5. Gravel walkway to house is steep & none of outside lights work. One guest slipped at night & cut their back. 6. Day 5 upstairs bedroom woke to something large & brown on wall. It was a 5” tarantula! 7. Stated being “perfect villa for anyone wanting a full body tan”. When my kids left for the beach I falsely felt safe to sunbathe/listen to a book w/ ear buds. I was horrified to find a strange man in front of me cleaning & adding chemicals to the pool! He should’ve come the next day after we left.

Great view

Perfect for 2 couples! Even had a pool but chlorine was so high it burned your eyes. They provided beach chairs, towels and a complete kitchen! A great choice but you pay for it!

Great stay

View was spectacular and property as advertised. Loved the location where we could to the beaches, Coral Bay, and Cruz Bay. Would stay there again. House isn’t fancy but has everything you need. Wont forget the view!

Aria was perfect for our stay. We loved being close to the beaches!

The house has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well equipped to cook meals when we wanted to stay in. We loved being a short drive down to Maho - our favorite beach. The property managers were amazing and quickly responded and addressed any questions or concerns. The pool was fantastic and the hot tub was a nice way to end the day. Would love to stay here again.

Wonderful house in a terrific location.

We’ve just finished a month in Aria House on Ajax Mountain. The house is very secluded with very few neighbors and none close by. Terrific day and nighttime ocean views out over Coral Bay, East End, Tortola, Virgin Gorda and beyond. Stars, moon and sun rises are spectacular. High mountain location means cooling sea breezes, day and night. Aria is also a perfect house for a rainy day. The kitchen is fully equipped, the furnishings are very comfortable and best of all, the house has its own laundry! We’ve travelled to St. John regularly since 1974 and know the island well. Aria is an excellent house in an excellent and easily accessible location. Our best recommendation is that we’ve already reserved for 5 weeks next year. BIG THANKS to Delores and Margaret for a wonderful stay. Keep left, Mon!

Great location and privacy!! Perfect spot for 2!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary! We were looking for a home with a pool and hot tub and this fit the bill perfectly! We were a bit hesitant with the living room furniture when we saw it on line but the day bed is quite comfortable. I would change the chairs out for something more inviting, but I guess as a vacation home, it works. This isn't a fancy home but if you are looking for a well kept property at a good value, this would be a great choice! My husband and I loved the views and the breezes were amazing! We weren't quite sure what to expect for August and were pleasantly surprised. This location is a short drive to Maho bay.... my friends recommended this beach as being one of their favorite and they were right, gorgeous!! We will return!
