The condo was very clean and comfortable, with a fully stocked kitchen and absolutely stunning balcony views — definitely a highlight of our trip.We encountered several issues that made the experience less than ideal. It's not uncommon for St. John to experience rolling power outages, but unfortunately, the power went out during the night on Monday and wasn’t restored fully until Wednesday.Because the property uses a cistern water system, we couldn’t use running water or flush toilets while the power was out. We were also advised not to drink the tap water, and no bottled water was provided, which added to the inconvenience. On top of that, the pump for the cistern had burned out on Tuesday evening, so using the water wasn't possible until it was repaired the next morning. The property manager, Dena, suggested using buckets of water to flush the toilet as a temporary solution. While that helped somewhat, it wasn’t the experience we had hoped for. Once the power and water were restored on Wednesday, the rest of our stay went more smoothly, but the first few days were definitely challenging. We also found the pool murky — we couldn’t see the bottom — so we chose not to use it. Additionally, the outdoor grills were rusted and unusable, which was disappointing. We enjoyed the condo’s comfort and views, but the issues we faced made the stay less relaxing. If you’re planning to stay here, it’s worth being prepared for these potential challenges.
