When I booked I was not aware this is a shared rental house. We rented the top floor and others rented the bottom floor. The other renters were great and we had no problems, but just did not realize it when I booked. This unit was spacious and the air conditioner worked great (cooler on the king size bed/bunk room side of the house than the other side). Lots of pops, pans, utensils, and there was a grill. Located walking distance from the gulf. Could use some upgrades in the bathroom. I would rent again!

Pros: Very convenient location 2 blocks from the beach. Open floor plan perfect for large families. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and dishes. Each bedroom was relatively clean & beds weren't hard. No sign of pets even though it's pet friendly.Cons: House is very bare bones. They only provided 1 trash bag, 1 paper towel roll, 1 toilet paper roll for each bathroom, and no basic cooking seasonings or spices. One of the sink stoppers in the jack-and-jill bathroom was broken so the sink wouldn't drain unless you pulled the stopper out.I'd recommend this listing only if you come well equipped with supplies.

Great Stay

Property was perfect for us! Plenty of room, very clean, close to the beach, very nice! The only thing I would suggest was maybe more toilet paper, paper towels & trash when having a large crowd. Other than that everything else was great!! Will definitely be staying here again next year ♥️

Weekend Stay

The setup was great as far as the rooms go, the kitchen was great. The dining room table was large and well suited for our group, four adults and five children. The porch space was great as well, plenty of space for the kids to play and the adults to relax. The one thing that would be an improvement is if there were more rugs inside to reduce the amount of sand tracked into the house.

We had a good weekend because we were with friends and the nearby beach is excellent. The location is the best thing about this property, and the price was reasonable. However, I would not stay here again. The biggest issue was cleanliness. When we arrived, one of the beds had clearly not been changed after the previous guests. The other couple traveling with us got into bed late at night after a long day of driving and found sand in the sheets. That is unacceptable for any rental.Check-in was also very frustrating. We were sent directions and GPS coordinates that brought us directly to the house, but we were not given the door code. We had to contact customer service while standing outside in the heat, and were then told to drive to the office even though we were already at the property. The check-in instructions should have been complete and accurate before arrival. The unit itself is in poor condition. Several items were loose, broken, or falling apart, including a towel rack and door handles. The layout is also strange and not especially functional, particularly around the kitchen. The beach access and location are very good, but the property needs proper cleaning, basic maintenance, and better check-in communication. We enjoyed the trip because of the beach and our friends, but the house itself was disappointing.

GOOD VALUE FOR BEACH STAY

THE HOUSE WAS NICE BUT LACKED AMENITIES. THE WASHER AND DRYER DID NOT WORK WELL - IT TOOK 3-4 CYCLES TO DRY CLOTHES. THEY ONLY PROVIDED 10 TOWELS WHICH IS THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE THE HOME COULD SLEEP. THERE WERE NOT MANY COOKING ITEMS. OTHERWISE THE HOME WAS CLEAN AND WORKED FOR US.

Four nights

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was great and within walking distance of the beach and the house was clean. There were many cockroaches that came out each evening inside the house. There was exactly one garbage bag for each garbage can, one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, and NO dishwashing soap to clean the dishes. It would have been helpful to have that information in the description when making reservations so that we could have brought our own if it wasn’t going to be supplied. One of the requirements upon exit of the home is to have all dishes clean and put away. If there is such a requirement there should be dish soap available to follow through on that request.

Great spot on St. George!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lost Flip Flop! Met our needs with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We had missed that there is another rental on the bottom floor and so were a little concerned when we saw other people on arrival, but it never was an issue at all. I do wish there had been a vacuum in the closet to make cleaning during the week a bit easier, but overall this was a great place for our family to stay for the beach and fishing all week. Would stay again!

It is affordable, spacious and only a 2 min. walk to the beach (1 1/2 short blocks). It has been remodeled (last yr.), is well kept, the kitchen is very well stocked, there is a new fire pit in the back yard,it is spacious and perfect for families as it easily accommodates 10 people. Suncoast is easy to work with and we have had nothing but good experiences with them. This is a wonderful place and we highly recommend it.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family loves St George Island as it holds a special place in our hearts. We choose The Lost Flip Flop as our place to stay this year. Very spacious layout with plenty of space for us to be together or separate. Close walk to the beach and to the bay. Property was enclosed enough so that the dogs felt comfortable being away from home while outside. Several days were very windy so we did sunbathing on the deck. Kitchen had everything we needed, washer/dryer combo worked well (we used time dry versus preset modes), charcoal grill was a plus, and the location had a nice fire pit. We have already suggested to friends and put this on our return to list.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 8 adults had a good vacation at the Lost Flip Flop. Only down points were a couple encounters with the largest beetle ever discovered, and the uncomfortable twin beds two of us had to use. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean and easy to use. Nice porches with room for everyone. Short 3-block walk to the beach and to bayside for sunsets. h h hBut
