"I like to stay at Drury hotels because they are clean, comfortable and offer a complimentary breakfast Buffett s well as hearty snacks/ an entree and beverages ( alcohol included) every evening. I do have a few complaints on this day that I would like to mention. Because this is a downtown location, there is a fee of $14 per night parking which I was aware of however on the second night I had to park in overflow parking because the lot was full and I had to walk up a steep incline in the grass and the parking was far away from the hotel, which I didn’t appreciate since I am disabled and it also did not seem safe because of the train and also parking lot was a little sketchy however, the front desk supervisor did make it right with me Room was not cleaned. Came back late at night and no towels to take a shower. I had to call down for towels, which was OK but if you don’t want your room cleaned every day you were supposed to opt out and I did not opt out so I expected the room to be at least refreshed with fresh towels. Female bartender hurries patrons to place order prior to getting to front of the line when the sign with what is offered can’t yet be seen. Seemed upset I moved the sign to be able to read it. Breakfast attendant scolded a young adult with special needs for getting food before she was ready ( it was past stated start time) maybe cord off before area until ready ?"

"We have stayed at this property before. It’s a good location and close to the U of M pool. The staff is always kind and helpful. They do charge for parking and the stalls are quite tiny, especially for a SUV or truck. One of the nights we stayed 9 cars parked in front of the hotel on Essex Street had their windows smashed out. So it was worth paying! The hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable. For the most part we had a good stay. A couple minor issues but nothing we couldn’t live with. We were on the 4th floor and the ice machine didn’t work, so we had to take the elevator to the 3rd floor everytime we needed ice. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was very low. The air conditioning definitely worked. It was freezing in our room. But when you moved it up a degree it was too warm. We got an extra comforter from the front desk. The sign in the bathroom mirror says rooms are cleaned every other day but we had to request this to be done, it wasn’t automatic. Bar hours showed 5-10 and it was closed at 9. Maybe no business, but it was a Saturday night."
