"Great location for ships and food. Room was lovely, great nights sleep. Loved the pool and fusbal tables. We didn’t have breakfast, though it’s smelt lovely 😊"

"Lovely clean room well soundproofed, shower excellent. Modern and fresh looking. Rooms should be provided with a kettle however , this is the only downside as walking down the corridor from the hot water tap with hot cups of coffee is not ideal as spillages likely , especially when between you , the tap and your room there is another door to get through . Wouldn’t put us off staying again though."

"Excellent breakfast good choice and very friendly breakfast team. The team deserve a special mention. However on check in the room was not ready and we were kept waiting until another team member just moved us to a room that was ready (not sure why original member of staff didn’t do that) which would have avoided the unnecessary and frustrating wait after a long journey."

"As a seasoned traveller who stays in 20 to 30 hotels a year, I know the Clayton brand well from stays in Manchester, Bristol and London. My requirements are simple: a comfortable bed, a decent shower and a good breakfast. The “Deluxe Double” bed felt small, measuring 4ft 4in on a 4ft 6in base. The bathroom has a fixed shower head over a bath with a shower curtain rather than a modern walk-in shower. The Executive rooms appear to offer the same setup. Breakfast was acceptable, but poor by modern hotel standards. The bread beside the toaster was partially frozen, the fruit selection was limited, and the continental offering consisted of a few slices of salami and cubes of cheese. There was no fresh loaf to slice yourself and no proper cheese or cold meat selection. The location is excellent, and the hotel serves its purpose if you simply need somewhere to sleep. However, compared with other Clayton hotels I’ve stayed in across the UK, it falls short of the standard I’ve come to expect from the brand."

"We checked in late last night and proceeded to our room. Carpet had definitely not been cleaned or hoovered nor had the toilet. Due to being so tired, and knowing we would only be there for a sleep, didn’t see any point in discussing the matter. Would I stay again, 100% no. Not worth £200 for the night (including breakfast)."
