"Pool wasn't open when I visited at the start of March and the hotel was still under construction from renovations, but I was in one of the updated rooms. It was spacious, clean, and modern, plenty of food for breakfast and a little shop behind the front desk with toiletries and snacks. The bed was comfortable and I appreciated the utility of the new furnishings. "

"The rooftop bar was closed for renovation. If I had known that ahead of time, I would have selected a different hotel. Additionally, there was a gas leak during our stay which caused the shower to not have hot water, and breakfast was significantly impacted as well. "

"No hot water in our room. It got lukewarm at best. Ice machines are removed from multiple floors. No mini-fridges in the room. The property is really showing its age."

"It was an ok hotel. Seemed like a really sketchy neighborhood with less than ideal parking. Wouldn’t stay there again. The staff was nice though. "

"The carriage House’s charm was its authenticity. The hostess goes out of her way to make sure you have the basics-enough blankets, clean towels and sheets, kitchen supplies—etc. twice she visited my husband and I to make sure all was okay and she brought us a basket of snacks. It was nice to have a bathroom upstairs and down, also a washer and dryer. The courtyard is pretty and creative. Our hostess was very dog friendly. There were dog dishes there for my two. My husband and I are seniors. The only drawback to staying longer were the stairs and the uneven floors which are not extreme. They are part of the historic reconstruction but a tripping hazard for older people. I would definitely recommend this rental. "
