"This is a lovely historic hotel and we enjoyed our stay apart from one thing (but this was promptly rectified) : initially we had a front bedroom facing the road which was busy and noisy all through the night. Fortunately we were able to upgrade to a rear bedroom which was wonderfully spacious and with much better facilities. The staff were very pleasant, polite and efficient, the hotel was fascinating and well-kept, and we would certainly stay there again."

When mentioned to reception they didn't seem to take it too seriously . Nice touch with the christmas wreaths on the doors to each room but not on the top floor where we were and on mentioning this to reception on checkout we were told they were going to do it soon ( noticed this 2 days before so not sure if this was true and if it was...
