Hotel is well organised from check in to check out. Well mantained, rooms are clean and comfy. Bathrooms are modern and most importantly clean. Decent speed wifi in room. Good and promt service from house keeping. Only downside for me was breakfast. More variety should be added to buffet.

Cozy hotel at excellent location
This place is in the heart of the city adjacent to the UN office. The entrance pathway to the hotel is quite steep and may be discomforting for elder people to walk upto the main hall.
Otherwise the hotel is very safe to stay and great place to explore city from. Downtown, Jehlum bank and Dal lake are all within 2Km radius.
The hotel was very poor value for the money. Although my room was adequate, maintenance was badly needed which was the case throughout the hotel. Major works were in progress but the standard of work was very poor and there was no rebate in the price for the disruption caused....for example, I had booked the hotel because I wanted to relax and swim but the pool was out of service, reception was a cubbyhole.
Worst of all was the food, most dishes were 'off' the menu. The dish I was able to order was reheated under a grill. There was a dull and expensive buffet. Breakfast was a selection of different Indian breads, a little fruit, pickle and dahl. Eggs could be requested but this was not clear.
I feel that the hotel is resting on the patronage of UN soldiers and related personnel from the base next door. It is far below the standard of a hotel of this price in India.
