"1) Needs pest control, spotted lots of cockroaches, spiders and lizards in the room. 2) Shower and sink needs lots of maintenance. 3) Typical dirty smell across the hotel 4) Advertised as continental Breakfast, they give you 3 slice of white toast, 1 cup of tea or coffee, and 2 pieces of fruit. 5) Blankets and linen worst quality, bad odour. 6) No natural ventilation, only way to let fresh air come in is when you open the main entry door for the room."

"We all came back feeling so refreshed — this trip was exactly what we needed as a family. There's plenty to keep you busy without ever leaving the resort; just make sure you book ahead. And honestly, the massage I had there? One of the best I've ever had. One person who really made our trip special was Samuela from the horse stables. He was absolutely wonderful with our one-year-old, getting him all excited around the horses and even letting him try fresh coconut water straight from the tree — a first for our little one! One thing to know before you go — the resort is a bit out of the way, so we'd really suggest hiring a rental car. It makes such a difference being able to explore at your own pace and see the real Fiji rather than just the tourist spots. Speaking of which, Denarau is lovely but very touristy, so don't skip the island trips. Just head over to Port Denarau and choose which island takes your fancy. We also had a brilliant dinner at Indigo Restaurant in Port Denarau — highly recommend it. And for families travelling with little ones like us, South Seas Island was a perfect choice. We booked through GetYourGuide which worked out much cheaper, so definitely worth checking out."

"We were meant to stay 4 nights, but only stayed 1, as 1 hour after arriving and relaxing by the pool my shoes got knicked by a staff member. After noticing they were gone we asked the staff and they 'had not seen them anywhere', even after the manager checked all staff bags as they were leaving for the day - That says enough as is. After 12 hours of constant pressure to check the cameras the manager finally showed us and proof the staff member took them. 'Miraculously' the shoes showed up after we said we would involve the police and all of a sudden the staff had seen them. We rebooked in Denarau for the final 3 nights, best decision we made. The good points about the place? The pool was lovely - albeit small, the grounds are immaculate, they do the fire dancing, and the oceanfront bures are a real cultural experience compared to other options around. However, the road to get there is interesting. A dirt road that goes past an open burning crematorium that is all of 400m down the road and when the wind blows right the resort is rather...unpleasant smelling. We had one of the rooms on ground floor of the large building and we wouldn't recommend. Dated, not clean, and we came away after 1 night with bites all over us from the bed. Take that as you will. Our one savior was the customer services woman - Duri. She was fantastic, and so lovely at helping us to track down the shoes and transport to our next resort."

"The property is stretched along the waterfront and spread across. It was hard to get buggies when you needed it as there was no schedules etc for buggy and sometime 3 would go down one way and none the other. The staff are friendly and always greeting you. We had some issues with missing room service but what was irritating was took them 3-4 calls and couple of hours to get fresh towels sent. The room we stayed in was fairly old and bathrooms etc were not as clean as I would expect a five star property to be. I normally stay at the Sofitel down the road and there is definitely a difference in attention to detail compared to Hilton. Breakfast was good and had most items that you would want. The biggest drawcard for this property is the location and views - I sincerely hope they would pay more attention to detail to deliver a better product"

"We enjoyed the buffet breakfast each day during our stay, the staff were great, the room itself was clean and quiet. Shops,restaurants and a supermarket are close by, also short bus ride into Nadi town for more shopping. Location of the hotel was convenient for day trips as the hotel is less then 10-minutes bus ride for pick-up and drop off from Port Denarua marina."
