"Accommodations were average. I didn't like that even though I prepaid through hotels.com, the hotel charged my credit card and kept the charge for a week before refunding. I understand the need for a security deposit but any issues should be identified within a day. There could be someone else coming in behind me that did damage that I could be liable for. Not a fan of this practice."

"Parking is a problem. When staying at the Big Texan hotel people will park their cars at the hotel then walk over to the Big Texan steakhouse. If you are staying at the hotel you should have a parking space.Management should check license plates and tow cars away at owners expense. It's a very popular bucket stop. If you're handicap in any way parking is a priority. Stay there many times and had a great time but management needs to look into the matter of parking."

"Second hotel along my Route 66 journey from IL to TX that was clean Staff was very friendly and helpful The lady who worked the breakfast buffet was super great! Breakfast was better than i thought it was going to be when i checked in at night -- such a small space for the set-up but they used every inch -- waffle maker had the shape of TX "and" had a BW in the middle, also had strawberry and regular & all the toppings were over the top! Real eggs! - sausage was good, biscuits were like homemade, gravy didn't have sausage but it sure had flavor. There was a guava juice - very unique. Also had a yogurt dispenser - never seen one before - and the toppings were great - especially fresh strawberries. Was available til 9:30! Bed was comfortable - pillows were good AC wasn't very noisy Great to have a ceiling light in the living area Two things - pool was super cold, don't think the sun is on it long enough to get warm - needs some heat. Carpeting could use a deep cleaning to eliminate a slight odor. Would definitely recommend this place."

"Got in late and easy access to interstate HWY. Good restaurants close but most close by 10pm . I gave it 4 stars because the rooms smell bad musty and need airing out. Breakfast was great with a big variety, but very small dinning room and no fruit !"
