"Came into town for a family gathering. The hotel is new, clean, and spacious. Staff was very friendly and even breakfast was decent for “free”. My only complaint was that the walls and floors were built quickly and didn’t have the needed sound barriers. I could hear ppl above us walking and some noise from the neighboring room. Though it wasn’t enough to be too bothersome or keep me awake, I was saddened to see another quick construction job completed. We will more than likely stay here again though as it is affordable and convenient. "

" Breakfast was not the best. Nice options, just poor quality. Eggs were tasteless and fluffy. Gravy just did not have good taste. Hard boiled eggs felt rubbery. Juice was excellent as was coffee and fruit. Did not have a waffle. "

"A little green in the countryside, close enough to everything, while feeling secluded. As a solo female with a dog, this was everything i needed. The fenced in area for pets was perfect, and the covered porch, divine. I would definitely come back "

"Awesome place. Stocked with many and all items needed for a relaxing secluded time on the water. Lots of things for our teens to do to keep them entertained. The stairs down to the water were a little challenging, but gave us a good cardio workout to burn some calories. highly recommend to those who want to get away and relax. Remember to bring what you need ,it a good 40 minutes to grab a gallon of milk or loaf of bread. That being said the Downs House was wonderful and you won't be disappointed with anything in my humble opinion."
