"We had a peaceful and relaxing weekend. The house was well stocked with pretty much everything you might need. We fished off the dock and caught a wide variety of fish, but we had better luck and caught larger fish in the evening. A huge storm came through and the host kept in contact to make sure we were ok. We ended our stay short because of the county wide loss of power but definitely plan on coming back."

"First impression of the outside was not good due to lots of spider webs and tree debris. In fairness, there were recent storms in the area causing much of this, however a good power blowing would have helped. The inside was spotless and all appliances, kitchen countertops, etc. were modern. The master bed was very comfortable. The firepit was exceptional and we really enjoyed it. I broke one of the chairs around the firepit and notified the hostess, she graciously responded quickly."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The lake house gave us an immediate relaxed and cozy feeling. The lake was also beautiful and fun to Kayak. Fish weren't very hungry though. lol The neighbors were also friendly and I liked the simplicity of booking process."

"Beautiful cabin. Very cozy and clean. When i searched i was looking for a cabin close to Kentucky lake. Although we were close to the water, i felt the docks near us were all private and we could not get close enough to water."

"My family had so much fun staying at the cabin. We enjoyed a very nice Easter weekend. Perfect yard for an Easter Egg hunt for the little ones! Spent the days on the lake fishing and nights by the camp fire. The home had everything we needed. Cathy was very responsive and check in was very easy. "Raccoon Retreat was the perfect place to host our yearly Memorial Day weekend trip. The house is located close to the marina for launching our boat and the bar and grill was within walking distance. The house came stocked with anything you'd need for comfort. We had a party of 12 and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. Will definitely be back!"
