Escape to our modern industrial-chic-ish cabin nestled in the woods. A wilderness haven where contemporary and creative design meets nature face-to-face. Disconnect from the modern world, find inspiration, and create lasting memories. Embrace rustic elements, sleek lines, and raw textures. Renew creativity, bond with friends and loved ones, and embark on thrilling adventures while immersing yourself in the serenity of nature's embrace. Milam Ridge offers all of these experiences and more.

Our 2BR 2 Bath property is situated on 1.5 stunning acres facing a steep back yard where all you can see from the deck looking out is woods, nature, trees. Bask in our spa, take a shower under the stars in our outdoor shower, and relax on bright covered deck. Cook inside or out with our outdoor kitchen and grill area or fully equipped kitchen.
Comfy beds await you in the evening. The entire place is my creative wonderland. I have pushed my limits to be as creative as possible with my current knowledge and abilities to bring you a fun and quirky take on the traditional cabin. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I enjoyed laboring to create it.

Guests have full access to the main cabin and everything therein except the 2 locked utility closets in the main bathroom and a few locked storage boxes throughout. Guests also have full use of the adjacent mini-cabin along with the adjoining deck and hot tub area. Guests are welcome to use the fire pit area and dog run/fenced yard and the areas of the yard around the fenced area. Our storage shed is off-limits as is the neighboring property to the south where a camping site is being constructed adjacent to the lower parking area.

I or my property manager will be no more than a booking site message, text message, or call away during your stay. I do not live in the area but the neighbors are very friendly and I have arranged with one of them to help out with immediate on-site needs. I do frequently visit the cabin and the area so I may be available in-person but that will vary.

We currently only allow bookings from guests aged 25 and over.

This cabin is 100% just as the other reviews said!! So clean, so well stocked, the dog run was better than expected. Even the pots and pans were luxurious!! For a quick night away from the craziness of life the is was perfect! I enjoyed the quiet morning on the porch with my coffee and pups! Thanks Brett!!

Wonderful cabin, great stay

Incredible Escape

Had an incredible time at Milam Ridge. The property itself had an amazing architectural layout that you can tell a lot of planning went into, plenty of things to do, and was in a very quiet/peaceful area in the woods. The owner responded to all inquiries promptly and clearly, and was very helpful throughout our stay.Our stay was perfect without any issues, and we intend to come back!

Beautiful and Private

The cabin is beautiful! It was a private relaxing getaway. Everything was very clean and well organized. They had an information packet set out that answered most of our questions. It was really nice enjoying the peace and quiet by the fire drinking our wine.

Unique Escape

This place exceeded all our expectations. It truly is a one of a kind getaway. From the outside firepit, the cozy deck and the outside shower we couldn't ask for more for a weekend away. Even the dogs loved the fenced in area to run around in. The owner went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommended if you're looking for a unique place to stay!

What you see in the pictures is exactly how it was. A very unique place with everything you can imagine needing, right down to lunch baggies. When we opened the door you could definitely smell that it was clean and fresh. Brett was so easy to deal with which made this experience even better. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

Quick get away

Simply put this place is awesome. We needed a quick get away we wanted something quiet and away from everything. Easy to say we found it here. The house is awesome. We really enjoyed the deck, outdoor shower and hot tub. This place has pretty much everything you need. Just know if you book it , it is down a rough gravel road but that’s ok, it was perfect!

This cleverly designed and decorated cabin is perfect for privacy and quiet relaxation. We’d like to return when we have time to stay longer and really enjoy the layout and the amenities. The cabin has everything you could think of needing and some things you would not have thought of but are smart additions. The host is very reachable and very dedicated to having you enjoy your stay. There’s even a new electric car charger so you can noiselessly drive in and out with no worries about where to charge. We came out to ride the Potomac Eagle and this is a perfect location just a few minutes from the station. Our adult daughter joined us and the separate cabin space was ideal for a private place to get away and sleep comfortably. Meticulously clean and it looks as good as the photos!

Perfect weekend away

We thoroughly enjoyed the property and our stay. The small details and use of building materials had us pointing things out all weekend. Was probably one of the cleanest homes we’ve rented. You really could just pack clothes and a toothbrush, they have thought of everything! The kitchen was fully loaded which was nice considering we didn’t need to buy spices for one meal, if you cook when traveling then you know what I mean! We would love to come back to make better use of the outdoor space (it was a tad too windy for an outdoor fire). We spent a ton of time in the hot tub, playing board games by the indoor fireplace and exploring some of West Virginia. There’s a small town about 15 minutes away which was convenient. We visited Wild Roots cafe daily their pastries and coffee were delicious (we even brought some home). So if you’re looking for a little getaway from the responsibilities of life then look no further and book it! Brett was exceptional with everything and very quick to respond. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

Just amazing, and just what we needed.

Great communication with the manager from the very minute of booking until I locked the doors on the way out. Upon arrival I couldn't believe how stunning the property was. Words can't explain the creativity and thought process that went into every little detail of this fabulous cabin. (hard to call it a cabin because its so much more) Chef kitchen, every tool and spice you would need and more. Bathrooms every amenity and more. Bedrooms, very comfortable. We used the hot tub, BBQ grill, outdoor games, indoor games, fire pit, the dog run area, washer and dryer. Had two torrential down poor but we were still protected under the wonderful spacious porch where we spent most of our time. Great walk every morning around the loop with lots of deer and turkey and the most friendly dog named Oskar. So if you think the pictures are embellished, they're not. This is what this amazing property is and so much more.

Creative on-point cabin design in the woods between Cumberland MD & Romney WV

A well appointed "cabin" that features a recent fully-renovated property, structures, and interiors with a craftsperson's touch - the exposed structure and industrial design motif was carried through uniquely and in great detail. A large furnished outdoor covered pergola that includes cover from the rain expands the living space to outdoors. A large fire pit, lots of covered/dry cut firewood, a hot tub, and broad views of the hillside woods add to a seamless experience to blend the outdoors with the in. Indoors, beds were super comfortable, the entire property and interiors were spotless! All furnishings were comfortable, modern, and continued the "industrial chic" look and feel. The WiFi was spotty which may have been the result of the rain, (happens at my home as well). Large windows let in abundant natural light and views of the surrounding trees. The Property Management team was super communicative and responsive from initial rental inquiry to check out confirmation. Towels, linens, curtains for privacy, a Kurig coffee maker, selection box of teas, a drawer full of games, a selection of movies on DVD, a User Guide that includes thorough instructions and restaurant recommendations, (for what they are in this area), and more thoughtful additions are in place to make for a restful, enjoyable, and memorable stay. If my travels take me back to this area, I'd stay here again.

Had a great time with family. We had all that we needed. The cabin was clean, the deck and dog area was spacious, the fire pit was fun for making s’mores. Too hot for the hot tub but was private and nice. Having the two separate cabins gave all some privacy at night to unwind from the day.

The most unique,cozy & relaxing cabin we have stayed in. Off the beaten path and in a very quiet secluded area! We loved watching the wildlife from the gorgeous deck, listening to the coyotes howl at night from the hot tub, and viewing the stars from the outdoor shower. Host communication was fantastic! Property was very clean and extremely well stocked. The attention to detail throughout the cabin was exceptional! If you’re looking for relaxation this is the place for you!
