"Although not clear from the Vrbo details on line, this is one of four properties within a relatively small area, managed by a staff who are on site during the day. It felt mostly private although staff watering plants and sweeping up leaves were always around in the morning and tended to do their work (sometimes a bit noisily) at 7-8 am. "Our stay at the Barbacane was lovely. It's pretty close to Spoleto, though a somewhat winding road. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the bed is wonderfully comfortable. We had a very nice time there! "

"The house is a charming old house with all the aminities one needs. Every day the pool is cleaned by Gabrielle, a very nice old man. The house is beautifully located in the hills above de valey of Spoleto and in fact on the pilgrims road between Spoleto and Assisi. We made some beautiful walks. The garden is shaded en well suited for dogs. Ours loved it. We certainly hope to return."
