"We loved this off-the-beaten-path, classic bed & breakfast a few minutes from Brattleboro on the old stagecoach route. Our view over the pond was stunning, and the breakfast was fresh and ample. The room was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to bring a small travel light if you would like to read a book in bed, as our room had soft, mellow lighting. "

I would give Windham Hill Inn five stars, but I deducted a star because of a clogged bathroom sink, a difficult to control HVAC system, and live and dead bugs in the room. "I was in Brattleboro for one night, and this Inn was well-reviewed and within my budget, so I booked a room. The location is fantastic, on an easy route into town, very easy to get around by car. What struck me most was the friendliness of the front desk staff, both on check-in and check-out. As a solo woman traveller, I felt totally safe and respected. The building itself was dated, but that's very typical of the area, and it was clean, well-maintened, and safe. I also liked how many quick food choices were within easy walking distance. I'll definitely pick this hotel again if I'm ever passing through town. "
