"The rooms in the building showed signs of wear in the bathroom, with ventilation fans not working and threadbare single layer shower curtains, but the fixtures were good and hot water was near immediate with great pressure. The food was fine, the bar was a bit overpriced (I would tip more if they weren’t charging nearly $20 a shot). The staff were stellar. At every turn, they helped me as quickly as possible and I felt their dedication to giving me the best service and stay possible. My room was very comfortable, the AC powerful, though the sound from adjoining rooms carried over a little (other ACs turning on and off, doors slamming, hot water through pipes), though this is standard in most hotels. "

"The air didn't work in the room the second night we stayed and there were bees in our room. When I said something to the front desk their response was, sorry about that. There were teenagers kicking doors at 11pm and there were several complaints. I would not recommend."

"Had asked staff to send someone to take a look at water pressure and temperature in shower and no one ever showed up. Took a shower in luke warm water for 3 days. "

"Conveniently located with the Metro stop right out front. Breakfast was excellent each day of our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is beginning to show a little age though ... . Our room was comfortable and clean, but it was odd that the beds were full size instead of queen, and the sofa bed was horrible."

"Older hotel, but located very close to the zoo and some other attractions. Very friendly staff, and the breakfast restaurant on the main level was great each morning. "

"Lovely property. It’s not just a boxy room but former small residences from 1926 so our had a mini kitchenette and nice bath and makeup area. They have a bar/restaurant and separate cafe. The food was good quality and the prices were ok. The bar/restaurant is a great smaller 1920s style space that’s great for relaxing. The staff was very courteous and helpful. It’s ala very convenient to George Washington university, a food hall, Whole Foods and a number of restaurants. Parking on the weekend wasn’t too bad as you could valet or park in a nearby self park garage. "
