Arriving late we were welcomed by the restaurant manager (the only person still working) were shown to our room and offered a late meal (very welcome) asking at reception the next day for recommendations as to where to visit, within 5 minutes a knock on the door and a sheaf of suggestions in english. "We can’t say enough about our lovely, welcoming stay at this spectacular historical home. Every detail & comfort had been thoughtfully considered. Well-appointed & clean. The breakfast blew us away with local dishes for us to try, we needed bigger stomachs.
