"This is a fabulous rental! I could happily sit there through any weather just enjoying the views. My adult children and I spent the week playing games, reading (he has a great library), and enjoying the views and wildlife that visited the property. My son loves to cook and found the kitchen well supplied with utensils and quality cookware. The home is cozy and quirky, filled with interesting antiques and absolutely lovely. The driveway might be a bit sketchy for a low clearance vehicle but otherwise the only trouble you might encounter is if you don't follow the directions the host sends. Keep them handy as maps apps will lead you astray and you will lose cell service on the way. John, the host, is on premise but is not intrusive in any way. He met us when we arrived, gave us a tour of the home and told us about its origins. He is extremely knowledgeable of the area and very helpful. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others."

"Sawpit Stone house is a great house, beautifully situated with very nice finishes. The river sounds are wonderful for sleeping with the windows open during the summer.Also, its proximity to Telluride and Mountain Village was easy for nearby shops and restaurants. Best access is to park in the Mountain Village Gondola parking garage and zip up and down the Mt as needed....so easy, no ticket needed. There is a bit of road noise at the house, but mostly that is filtered out by the forest and river in terms of views and noise."
