"I was given a warm welcome on arrival, and nothing was too much trouble during my stay. The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond. They made me a nice full English breakfast in the morning and there was everything else you needed for a decent breakfast including cereal, yogurt, orange and toast as well as tea. I asked about the 10am checkout and was told that because it’s not busy I could leave whenever I wanted. I would definitely stay here again if I ever needed to come to The Isle of Man again. I would live here if I could. Speaking as someone who spends a lot of time in chain hotels, the personal touch was really refreshing. Plenty of parking in the safe surrounding area also."

"Hotel is in a very central location with a bus stop right outside and train within walking distance. The staff and other locals we met were very welcoming and the food that we sampled during our stay was of a high standard. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Having the transport options close by enabled us to visit the various places we wanted to go to."

"Absolutely spotless throughout. All the utensils which were needed were provided. The view from the Sunset (first floor) lounge was spectacular especially the sunsets.To be able to park a car either next to or in front of the garage was most useful.The garden was an extra bonus. To be able to sit out with a pre-dinner drink and admire the view was excellent. The shaded area with the bench seat was perfect.The Host and Bay View Cottage richly deserved the Gold Award.We had a wonderful stay and we will not hesitate to recommend the property to others."

"This is a nice house in a beautiful location, everything is clean and tidy. The lounge furniture badly needs updating and is a little uncomfortable, we spent a lot of time in there due to the poor weather. The kitchen is well reasonably well equipped.The bedrooms are large and spacious with comfortable beds and the bathrooms are modern and both have nice showers.All in all we would happily stay again and would recommend."
