"We had a great stay at this hotel. Our room was well appointed, bathroom was updated, and bed was comfortable. The stairs were a bit of a pain with our luggage but doable. We ate in the historic tavern and the food was excellent. The front office staff was exceptional. I would definitely recommend a stay there."

"Although this is an older property, the room was extremely clean. I did not check in until closet to 10 pm the evening of 4/26 and there was an issue with my reservation, my fault totally! I had inadvertently confirmed my stay for the night before. The gentleman at the front desk ( his name escapes me) was very accomodating, professional and understanding. The next morning (4/27) I spoke with the desk clerk on duty about the mistake I had made and she refunded my money for the night of 4/25. She was also very nice to do that. Whenever in the area, I will definitely stay here again. "

"The Doubletree is an excellent option for anyone interested in staying in downtown Poughkeepsie. I have stayed there on three different occasions in the last three months, each time for several days,and have always had a good experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the parking is free, access is convenient, there are great restaurants within a short walk, and it is only a short walk to the Poughkeepsie Bridge State Park, which is spectacular. Many rooms have a beautiful view over town to the Hudson River. For these reasons and more, I am looking forward to my next visit."
