Only real issue I had was sheets are a little thin so I would suggest bringing a travel blanket if you get cold easily (and I do). But I would recommend to as a good place to stay. And I will be planning a repeat visit. It can be a little hard to initially find as it's directly behind a restaurant. And GPS does not help. I think a sign a little closer to the road might help. "The property was about what I expected for the price. Good front desk staff, efficient check in, clean room. The facility is in the process of being rehabbed, so I suspect that the overall condition will be much improved over the next several months. My room had a few minor issues that were more aesthetic than functional."

However, on the site upon booking; I’m not sure if I remember reading that:@ the Hotel there is a prerequisite, where the hotel/management patrons are required to leave their credit cards credentials will be on hold for 10 business days after determining the validity/ non smoking etc and no damages to the premises.."

"I want to be transparent here. My room was barebones, but it is what I paid for, and for that I was satisfied. If you’re looking for the 5 star experience without paying for it, that’s unrealistic here for right now. The staff were friendly and flexible. It’s my hope that Richmond hotel will provide more amenities, upgrades, and repairs as it gets more guests there."

"The room was absolutely disgusting the bedding was not washed at all . I could smell the body odor of the person that slept on it last. My husband was so grossed out he slept on the table. There were bugs and the fridge was dirty. There was a fist sized hole in the bathroom door like someone tried breaking it down . There were white stains on the chairs and the couch I wish I could get my money back bc that was terrible "

"We had a great stay at the Happy Place and wished we'd had more time to explore the local area. The house was very clean, and spacious with lots of modern equipment. We had big soccer tournament in the local area which was 15 moinutes drive from the house so it was perfect location for us to relax in between the games. Thank you for great stay at The Happy Place."

"Great place. Exactly what we were looking for. Pool table was a definite plus. Only 15 minutes from downtown, the airport, practically everything we needed. Our host, James and staff were so helpful providing necessary rental information as well as places to see and things to do in Richmond. Would definitely stay there again."
