Birdsong Cottage is set back behind the 114 W. West St main house and accessed through a side garden gate and path.

The cottage is ideally situated in the heart of historic Southport - a short walking distance to all of the quaint antique stores, chic boutiques, and laid-back riverfront seafood restaurants and bars.

The Oak Island Beaches are 10 minutes away. Bald Head Island and the beaches of Pleasure Island: Carolina Beach, Kure Beach and Fort Fisher are just a 20 minute ferry ride from Southport. The ferry is 6 minutes from the cottage.

Lovely cottage in the heart of Historic Southport
Birdsong was a really comfortable pleasant stay for 2 people. Short walk to shopping, dining, and outdoor entertainment. Kelly was great! Would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again!

Amazing first time in Southport!!!
My husband and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary in Southport, first time there for us both. Kelly and Birdsong Cottage were AMAZING. Clean, cozy and thoughtful!!! We can’t wait to come back and especially book with Kelly again!!!

Anniversary trip
We definitely enjoyed our stay at Bird Song cottage for our anniversary. The convenience of the cottage to the restaurants, shops and historic places was perfect. Kelly was very accommodating and provided us with the sense of privacy. We loved the welcome basket!

Home away from home!
Birdsong cottage is a wonderful place to stay! Perfect for just 2 people. The walk back to the cottage on the brink walkway is lovey. We so enjoyed sitting out on the front patio and watching the birds. We parked our car and was able to walk to all the shops and restaurants. Kelly and Robert also had a nice surprise in the refrigerator waiting for us! Thank you both so much for letting us stay with you. We will be back!

Get-away in a Garden
This property was ideal for our stay. Location was everything...we never had to drive once during our stay because we could walk to everything we needed or were interested in...craft show, boat show, restaurants, quaint shops, museum, waterfront, pub, etc! The rental is perfectly located in historic Southport. Most of all, at night when we needed to relax and unwind, we were able to enjoy sitting in the beautiful, serene, and private yard to enjoy wine and cheese and the breeze! There is a local venue nearby that had live music nightly, which we listened to from our yard. All music ended before 8:00pm and the whole community quiets down. Just peaceful. Our hosts were very welcoming and provided us with so many local pointers on places to go. The cottage was super comfortable and cozy with all the desired ammenities. We will definitely be returning to this rental!

25th Anniversary Get a way.
A beautiful little cottage with all of the necessities. Its nestled back off of the street with its own little garden patio less than a block from Howe St, and very close to all the best restaurants. Only 3 blocks from the waterfront, its a great location for walking and biking. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day.
