"We decided as part of our trip to visit Riverton given we had met on a blind date there in the early eighties. The property was part of a larger house and quite separate from the hosts. It was perfectly setup with large main bedroom separate lounge area and bathroom. Debbie our host could not have been more helpful. Lovely view of the inner harbour. Easy vehicle parking on site and easy access with pin operated entry door. Excellent shower! Had a fantastic stay."

"I could put up photos of the amazing view of Glenorchy and the surrounds but chances are that you've already seen them and are now looking for a place to stay. The Lake House is comfortable and situated very close to the lake. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good because it's close to walk and get a better view down the lake or up towards the mountains where sections of LoTR was filmed. Bad because there are sand flies which will happily feast upon your bare skin. Make sure you wear...

"For us too close to a main road and therefore too noisy - i wish a plan or similar of the site when booking informed us of this, also in this regard so we could choose a unit from the several there. However, to balance things the unit itself is really excellent, clean and well equipped and the owners have tried to plant a pleasant area around the units. It was dog friendly which we appreciated."
