"We had an excellent off-season stay here. The staff are all super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious, with very comfortable beds. The whole property is friendly to dogs on leashes(except possibly inside The Red Slate Restaurant). We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time exploring nearby Manchester, Londonderry, and Dorset. "This is the third time we have stayed at the black bear lodge in Stratton and every time we stay our experience is the same.. excellent. The staff are all so nice and accommodating, the property is clean and the breakfast is perfect. The rooms are comfortable and clean, it really is the perfect place to stay in Vermont.
