"I arrived and realised I had forgotten my adaptor; the staff were kind and lent me one for the duration of my stay. The room doors have individual pin codes but mine didn't work so I was offered a card instead. Wifi signal was good. The room was very small but efficient; there was some noise from outside the corridor but not awful (room 212). The hotel is well located and close to Sol. Upon checkout I was able to leave my bag in the basement in a locker. Overall a positive stay."

"Avoid this hotel. I booked BYPILLOW Castellana because of its location and because it advertised air conditioning. With Madrid at 35°C, this was essential. At check-in, I specifically asked the receptionist to confirm the air conditioning was working and was assured everything was fine. It wasn’t. The air conditioning did not work, the room was unbearably hot, and I endured one of the worst nights I’ve ever had in a hotel. The following morning I was then told the air conditioning was broken....

"Great location! It’s within walkable distance to major historic sites. Close to shops and restaurants. The rooms are located on the second floor and there is a small elevator. Our room was well equipped with a small refrigerator, hair dryer, and a garment steamer. There was also an electric kettle, instant coffee, tea bags and complementary Biscoff cookies. The beds were super confortable. The air conditioner was great too!"
