"Hotel was so convenient-across the street from Kyoto Station and walking distance from many shopping and dining options. Kyoto Aquarium was also a quick walk. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were top notch-everyone in my family thought so and we usually disagree on bedding and pillows. The buffet breakfast was amazing, including a full western and traditional Japanese offering. Well worth upgrading room package to enjoy the buffet every day. "

The bakery and cafe in the lobby were a huge hit with our whole family - recommend the potato buns and oat milk lattes! Rooftop bar was gorgeous with an excellent selection of drinks, great atmosphere. The location of the hotel is not bad - relatively easy to get all around if you are willing to walk a bit. 8-9 min walk to the subway line (1 transfer to get to Kyoto station), or 15-20 min walk to the main part of the Gion district. Clean, large rooms."
