"Lovely location very near the beach and within a 20-30 minute walk into the main city centre, pier etc. The room itself was clean, a little compact with two beds but plenty of space for luggage etc. nice to have a sink in the room and the toilets/bathrooms were on multiple floors. "We enjoyed our stay at By the Sea. The owner Matthew was welcoming and friendly and helped us with our luggage to the top floor up two flights of stairs. The whole property was spotless and our room (no 6) was very comfortable with a sea view. The only inconvenience was that we had a bath with a handheld shower head for hair washing not for overall bathing. This was stated on the website, however, and I just hadn’t realised.
