Entering from the double carport past the fishpond and woodfired pizza oven in a sheltered outdoor area you will find yourself on the top level of this very well equipped home boasting open plan living area with open fireplace dining area, large kitchen with dishwasher, screened outdoor area, huge deck, two main bedrooms, large bathroom with corner spa bath. We are sure you will spend most of your time out on the deck taking in the beautiful coastal views and sunsets over the Macleay River.
Wandering downstairs you will enter the cinema room with surround sound, projector, DVD player and comfy chairs to relax on while watching your movies. Off the cinema room are another large bedroom, a bunkroom and a large bathroom /laundry with washer and dryer.
Spend your holiday relaxing at Tallowood, watch the birds and kangaroos play in the yard from the deck or as you wander around the grounds yourself enjoying the peace and quiet.

Linen is not supplied in this holiday letting so you will need to bring your own-sheets, pillowcases, towels, tea towels & tablecloths. You will also need to provide your own toilet paper, soap & dish washing liquid etc. If you do not wish to bring linen, you will receive the contact details for the linen hire firms in your confirmation email.

This grand, architecturally designed country house, built almost entirely of beautiful timber, must be one of the best located coastal properties in NSW. Positioned high on hill, it's very private, and has breathtaking views up the coast and across the Macleay River estuaries to the mountains.
It was very comfortably and interestingly furnished and the kitchen well equipped to a very high level. Beds were very comfortable (but we brought our own linen.)
The huge balcony was a sensational spot to have breakfast in the morning sun or to watch the sunset and the kangaroos on the lawn below.
For all of us (3 couples) it was unquestionably the most memorable holiday house we have ever stayed in, and we probably will be back next year.

What a beautiful home to rent for a group or family. I had been coming to South West Rocks as a child with the family when I was young but this home was something else, really special. Perfect for the group my partner and I were traveling with; there was heaps of room with lots of bedrooms and ample beds, bathrooms and a huge kitchen.
From the moment we drove up the driveway you felt like this was an architects dream amongst the Aussie bush. The timber structure, highlighted with sandstone fireplace was amazing, all with a backdrop of the bush, local kangaroos, Macleay River and the ocean in the background.
The kids loved watching there movies in the home theatre downstairs whilst we were able to enjoy dinner looking over the garden with the sun setting over the river.
Coming up to this place was like our own retreat, operating on our time and really having the chance to relax amazing!
