"This chalet holds secret joys. Very unassuming in its appearance, the thoughtfulness of the layout and amenities really shined through. We especially enjoyed the bedroom window situation: so much morning light and air!! Its proximity to local attractions is perfect - easy distance from swimming, hikes, and food. I’m already looking for next year. This place is a treasure."

"Private and secluded, the house offered a nice view and relaxing setting. Excellent access to Quechee and Woodstock. Kitchen has lots of dishes, adequate utensils and cooking pans, but bring your own dishtowels and napkins! The stated rent was reasonable, but the cleaning and other fees are exorbitant. The house was clean on the surface, but we in need of more careful and deeper cleaning in places, such as the windows, window sills, and the deck. Not a great value for a short stay for two...

"Great place - second time we've stayed here. Plenty of space, well-equipped chef's kitchen - great for cooking and entertaining. If you have kids or family and want to cook for them, this is the place you want. Private and cooled in the Spring/Summer by all the trees - great place to stay while visiting Queeche, Woodstock, and beyond."

"Generally good. Our granddaughter and her husband and two of Julie’s cousins stayed there. They had all their meals at our house so didn’t use the kitchen. The only negative was a bag of garbage on the porch from the last rental that hadn’t been picked up yet. Everything in the house itself was very clean and neat."

"We needed a large house to accommodate 20 golfers at Killing and Green Mountain National. The house is a little aged, but clean and perfect for what we were looking for. Had a few questions and the owner was very responsive, check in was easy and location was perfect."

"Perfect location and amenities for a mountain bike getaway on Ascutney. Trailhead is .1 miles up the road, the cottage (HOUSE) has everything you could ask for plus cornhole!"

Comfortable furniture, cool layout, well stocked kitchen materials, spectacular surroundings, isolated feeling even though there were houses fairly nearby. Ab was great about answering questions in a clear and timely fashion. Hope to stay there again in the near future."
