This place was very clean and organized when we got there, communication with the host was phenomenal and we all had so much fun here! Truly a place I’d recommend booking!
The house was wonderful! Well appointed, clean and right on the river.. we would definitely stay there again. Manager Beau was quick to answer any questions.
This place is amazing, right on the river and well equiped with everything you need. I missed the part of the description that said no garage access, but that was on us and we survived without it. Would definitely stay here again.
House was great, comfortable for a large group and loved that the kitchen was stocked. Taking the trash across town is a bit inconvenient but we loved our stay.
We had a family get together at the Lobo Lodge on the Rio Grande and really enjoyed it. This property was perfect for our needs. The site on the river is great, quiet, and beautiful. We would definitely consider coming back in the future.
Great location in Southfork, CO for a ski trip stay. Cabin has a great layout, beds are comfortable, views are beautiful. We had to fix an under the counter sink leak in the kitchen upon arrival, housekeeping was not done well before arrival- kitchen counters were found sticky, coffee machine and cups found dirty, and two downstairs bedroom beds found with used sheets- other than that, things seemed surface clean everywhere else. Would definitely stay again- would just recommend making housekeeping staff more accountable before future stays.
The location and proximity to Wolf Creek Ski area was great. The house was beautiful and set up great for a family vacation. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a wonderful trip and overall our experience was excellent. The only suggestion we would make would be to supply a broom, dustpan, mop and vacuum. With a whole family, we had to buy a broom just to sweep up after dinners and from going in and out. We would stay here again, beautiful place!!
The cabin was wonderful. Very comfortable for all 13 of us. The only upgrade I would suggest is "Sound speakers" for both TV's. When both in use (our kids playing video games and the adults watching a movie), the two TV's competed against each other. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.
This property was amazing. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook with. That is big thing for us when we travel. The house looks just like the pictures. The owners did not skimp on anything. The view of the river was the big selling point for us. I would highly recommend this place. You wont be disappointed.
Beautiful house and location. Great for a family with kids. Some light blocking window coverings would be a great addition. Sound from upstairs traffic is a little noisy for downstairs bedrooms. Design would be great if upstairs bedrooms were over the kitchen/dining/living room area. But I'm just a light sleeper so it may not be a big deal to others. I would highly recommend this property.
Easy access to property. Great floor plan for parents and teens. Had all the necessary kitchen utensils. Very comfortable. Cozy living area with fireplace open to kitchen and dining room. Comfy game room for teens upstairs. Beautiful deck overlooking river. A little farther from ski hill than we are use to but still an easy drive. Would have given 5 stars except kitchen counters didn’t seem to be wiped properly and peanut brittle under living room chair. Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lobo Lodge! There was plenty of space for our family of 9. The back porch was a favorite spot for everyone and the kitchen was well-appointed. It was clean and comfortable.
Suggestions for improvement would include not leaving an empty propane tank on the grill, blinds that block light (and cover the entire wi die in the master bedroom), and a variety of pillow firmness on the beds. I would also let renters know about the construction BEFORE they book. Although they were very professional and courteous, if you are seeking a quiet mountain retreat, you will feel like you were cheated just with the nature of construction noises and cars and the amount of people on site. Otherwise, the Lobo Lodge is a wonderful place to stay with a great location and river view!
We unfortunately were not provided adequate house rules and got a stern talking to from the owners. Being extremely accustomed to rafting in this region, having a house riverside we pulled our boats to shore here as a shuttle point. After driving a trailer around to the back riverside for <15 min to load up a raft, we got a phone call saying “I can’t fathom why anyone would think that is acceptable”. When in fact that area with that type of property it is extremely acceptably and common. After our conscious group assessed the yard and observed the tractor and worker tire marks all along the property, we assume it was normal and appropriate. No mentions in the house manual.
The cleanliness was not good. Floors, rugs, and mats were filthy. Left over food in refrigerator from previous guest. Crumbs, hairs, ect in drawers in kitchen and bathrooms. Cleaned what we used. Also washed some dishes before we ever used them and left them out on the counter cause I was NOT cleaning the inside cabinets of this house on my vacation. If I was the owner I would make some changes. No one wants to go on vacation to a dirty house. Vacuum cleaner did not work, emailed property manger the day we arrived and received a used one 2 days later cause thanksgiving was the very next day. A housekeeper from the house manger/realtor office is who brought the vacuum cleaner by and she had to come back that same day to pick it back up.so I had a vacuum for a few hours for the 5 days we rented this house. Was very disappointed. I will definitely search and rent differently for our next vacation. Also very inconvenient that you have to drive your trash out of this subdivision to the realtors office a few miles away, not convenient at ALL!
Just wow, the home is absolutely beautiful and being able to walk out to the Rio Grande is what brought us in the first place. The game room was awesome in between the rain storms. Do take your own Tupperware and pantry items since it is a newer rental but they provided all the cooking gear you would need. Check out was the easiest process we've ever had on vacation and it made leaving at 10 less stressful.
We do have a few cons but the pros definitely outweigh them. The river is flowing so strong right now it's unfishable, at least won't be an easy task from the bank and don't recommend wading out right now. The pictures make it seem more private and secluded but there are houses lined up across the bank and houses being built on both sides of this one. The house to left is close enough you will definitely hear each other after it's done. The house on the right looks almost complete but is a little further away.
My biggest complaint isn't even about the house or company, it's the construction workers. They were on site til 8 Friday night and back at 6 Monday morning. Not only that but they're a bunch of perverts who constantly stare and smile when a woman steps outside. Not that it matters but I wear my husband's baggy Tshirt daily so their excuse of I was "asking for attention" was enough to get my husband involved. I can only imagine how it would have been if it was warm enough for a swimsuit.
