Hotel Sumratin

"The hotel is very nice and the location is great - away from the old city and much more low key. ( it is a cab ride to get to the old city and the bus is very crowded so not super convenient if the old city is your priority). The front desk and bell desk are excellent. So helpful. The only reason I took off a star was the very unfriendly and poor service at the rooftop restaurant. The restaurant was not crowded and there were three servers but they couldn’t be bothered. It was literally the only bad service we had in a week in Croatia but it’s too nice a hotel to have this experience. Other than this annoyance it is a nice hotel and also the breakfast was great."

Cornaro Hotel

"Cornaro is a very smart and well run hotel, as you might expect for the price. Everything was spotless, the staff friendly and helpful, the rooms spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. It was also in a great location for visiting the old town of Split. The view from the rooftop terrace/bar was stunning and well worth a visit even if you did not have a drink. The only slight negative was the cleaning of our room. The maid failed to top up tea bags, coffee capsules or milk when servicing the room and we had to ask for more from the front desk, a minor point only."

"Location is excellent as is the breakfast. Getting into town by bus is easy. Staff at the spa and La Mer restaurant very helpful. Rooms are okay, lovely views. Stayed here before, booked V level this time, honestly not worth it, didnt notice any difference in rooms, V level service poor especially at the pool and beach which was poorly maintained, more like self service with sunbeds etc. overall would probably go back due to location but wont pay V level rate again."

"We have spent a week at the hotel and we had a great time. Our toddler loved the kids area of the pool and obviously Maro world. The staff were great, really friendly, the breakfast buffet offered a great selection. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going with kids."
